Due to the impact of Coronavirus over 5.5 million people are claiming Universal Credit. Many of them are new to claiming Universal Credit having been negatively impacted by Coronavirus.
If you need some guidance in finding out how to claim what you are entitled to, have a look at the Universal Credit Guide which has been produced by the Jobcentre, and details the scheme and how you can apply.

Dove Cottage is our local day hospice on the road to Ridlington. and they have been in touch to let us know what they are doing during the pandemic restrictions. While their normal day care services are on hold, they are still very active offering online and phone support, have set up an online Bereavement Help Point, and are currently planning a Virtual Carers Support Group.

We had hoped to run the Advent Fayre at the end of November but with the continuing Covid uncertainty this has now been cancelled.
As an alternative, there will be a virtual event to showcase all the crafts and produce, with the opportunity to buy direct from the sellers. The raffle will still go ahead with the usual excellent hamper prizes. Watch out for more information shortly.

The Blue Ball is open again!
Normal service is resuming. Dom & Pip ( and a squad of willing helpers ) have rejigged everything to make it Covid secure, with tables spaced out inside and the outside area extended into what was car parking. The interior designers have also been busy and everywhere, including the previously slightly unloved top rooms, are now looking extremely stylish.

Local charity TwentyTwenty will be auctioning a painting of Braunston High Street by acclaimed local artist Alan Oliver on 30th June at the Rutland Polo Club lunch. All proceeds will go to help local disadvantaged young people.
