The takeaway service from the Blue Ball has now ended and Dom & Pip are getting ready for re-opening. Here's the latest update from them:

Foodbank requests

Rutland Food Bank continues to need your support

Charity auction

Charity auction

Local charity TwentyTwenty will be auctioning a painting of Braunston High Street by acclaimed local artist Alan Oliver on 30th June at the Rutland Polo Club lunch. All proceeds will go to help local disadvantaged young people.

European elections

Elections to the European parliament will be held on Thursday May 23rd. Our local polling station is the Village Hall which will be open for voting between 7am and 10pm.

Activities in the Village Hall

There is something happening in the hall almost every day - why not try something new this year?

On Monday evenings we have Oakham Sings!, a ladies' singing group where the emphasis is on upbeat music and having fun.

Church Street closure

The good news is that we finally have a date for the replacement of the water main on Church St - the bad news is that, of course, there will be disruption in the village while the works are carried out. Once done however, we should see an end to the regular leaks and associated works that have been ongoing for some time, and also there should be an improvement in the water pressure.
