The Parish Council is delighted to report that the decision to allow up to 30 houses on Brooke Road, Braunston has been quashed by the High Court. The Planning Inspectorate will re-determine in the coming months.

A very big 'thank you' to everyone who came to the village hall tonight to share views on continuing the legal process to overturn the planning permission for the houses on Brooke Rd.


Following the meeting's overwhelming vote to continue the action, there was a generous response to the call for funding pledges. The Parish Council has now instructed our legal team to lodge the challenge in the High Court....

Following the Planning Inspector's decision to allow the application to build 30 houses on Brooke Rd, the Parish Council's barrister submitted an objection to the Secretary of State on legal grounds: that the Inspector had wrongly interpreted the County Council's housing delivery target as 600 houses per year rather than the actual target of 600 per five years. Planning application for 90 lodges at Tilton on the Hill

An application has been lodged with Harborough Council for the creation of a holiday park with 90 lodges, plus ancillary buildings, on the road towards Tilton on the Hill.

This will be discussed at a special Parish Council planning meeting at 8pm on Thursday April 25th at 8pm in the village hall. All villagers are welcome to attend.
